The Ojai Film Society Program Committee has selected 12 excellent films for the fall season, opening on both Sat. & Sun., Sept. 7 & 8 with Josh Whedon’s delightful version of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Ann Hornaday of the Washington Post writes, “With Much Ado About Nothing Whedon has crafted an endearing bagatelle, made with equal parts brio and love, ambition and pared-down modesty.”
The rest of the line-up includes Mud, Deceptive Practice: The Mysteries and Mentors of Ricky Jay, The Attack, Frances Ha, Fruitvale Station, Stories We Tell, A Hijacking, Still Mine, In the House, Nicky’s Family and Unfinished Song. Look for the screening schedule online by the end of the week and in your homes and around town during the Labor Day weekend.
