As we all know, one of Ojai’s most precious commodities is her artistic presence.

From fine artists of the highest caliber to filmmakers and stars of screens big and small to a quality of performing arts not usually seen in a small hamlet, we are many times blessed. It seems that every day there is something new and wonderful to experience here.

One of those performers, Rain Perry, is a homegrown singer-songwriter with a beautiful voice and a gift for touching and incisive songwriting. Her latest project is The Shopkeeper, an intimate and affecting documentary on one of her artistic muses, Austin producer Mark Hallman, and the changing face of music production and distribution in the 21st Century.

OFS is honored to say that Perry will debut her documentary here in Ojai with a red carpet gala premiere as a benefit for us! The show will be June 4 at Matilija Auditorium and we strongly encourage you to save the date and come out to join us for this very special event.
